Cookies & preferences
Last updated
This edition has no advertising or analytics cookies added by the site. It does use an optional appearance preference, and Cloudflare may use security and authentication cookies.
Your appearance preference
The light/dark button saves a value called wc-theme in your browser's local storage. Its sole purpose is to remember the appearance you selected on this site. It has no fixed expiry and stays on that browser until you clear it or the browser removes site data. Without a saved preference, the site follows your device's light or dark setting.
You can object to this optional storage by clearing it below and using your device setting. No replacement preference is saved by this action. Choosing the light/dark button again will save a new preference.
Cloudflare protection and reviewer login
Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. Security cookies may be set when needed to distinguish legitimate requests from abuse. On the private review site, Cloudflare Access uses authentication cookies, including CF_Authorization, to recognise an authorised session. Session duration depends on the configured Access policy. These cookies serve security and access-control purposes.
Cloudflare's Access cookie documentation and privacy policy provide more information.
Search and other storage
Profile search and filters are recorded in the page address, not a tracking cookie. Your browser may keep those addresses in its history and cache downloaded pages, fonts, images and search files. Search results are calculated in your browser.
Browser controls
Your browser lets you inspect or delete cookies, local storage, history and cached files, and block storage for this site. Clear data for the exact address you used: the staging and live domains have separate storage. Removing authentication cookies may sign you out of the private review site. Blocking optional appearance storage leaves the site readable.
For the wider picture, read the privacy notice. If the site adds features requiring consent, this page and the controls will be updated before those features are used.
